Music
Standard Course: 1 weekly hour private lesson, 1 weekly hour group music theory lesson, 30 minutes private lesson on 2nd instrument, participation in ensembles/orchestra (if appropriate).
Expanded Course: 1 weekly 90-120 minutes private lesson, 1 weekly hour group music theory lesson, 30 minutes private lesson on 2nd instrument, improvisation lesson, participation in ensembles/orchestra (if appropriate).
Preparation for Matriculation: The Conservatory is supervised by the Ministry of Education and almost 100% of its students prepare for and sit the Ministry’s matriculation exam (bagrut). Students receive guidance in preparing for this process, which includes a recital, final paper, and portfolio (for students of composition).
Borrowing Instruments: The Conservatory lends wind and string instruments to students who do not possess their own, at a nominal fee.
Dance
Classes in classical ballet and modern dance are given twice weekly, and there is an option for an extra class in ballet at a nominal fee. For students wishing to take the High School entrance exam, extra training is provided.
Little Ones
Weekly classes in small groups, with parental participation for the very young.
Ankor Youth Choir
Training includes weekly rehearsals, instruction in music theory and group classes in voice.
Tuttenhauer Ankor Choir
Choir members receive 30 minutes weekly in voice instruction, 1 weekly hour of music theory and several weekly rehearsals.
Scholarships
The Conservatory makes every effort to grant financial assistance to every child who needs it. Scholarships are awarded based on need, the preferred instrument, and achievements. Application for scholarships is at the time of registration.
