Department Head: Assaf Sommer
This is the largest music department at the Conservatory, catering to students of all ages and levels, from beginner to concert pianist. Many of the practice studios feature grand pianos for optimal sound, enabling a higher quality learning experience. In addition to being taught by our own outstanding faculty, our students enjoy master classes given by artists of international standing.
Most of our students sit the Ministry of Education matriculation exam, which includes a recital and a research paper, and many continue their studies at the Academy.
A significant number of students attain Outstanding Musician status in the IDF; many others win awards from the America Israel Cultural Foundation.
